And how much is cost for sleeper Zilina - Lvov RZD coach, Bratislava - Lvov UZ coach, Lvov - Moscow (RZD adn UZ), Kiev - Zilina RZD coach and Kiev - Bratislava UZ coach?

77
Considering variant via Romania, how much will be the cost for ticket Chernovtsi - Bucuresti, and Lvov - Bucuresti?

78
I noticed that lot of Corail Lunea trains are not shown in SNCF timetable for this summer. And even more are not shown in HAFAS timetable. Is there some problem with timetable system, or there really not running this summer? Specificaly for train 4630 Hendaye - Nice Ville HAFAS timetable says it is running only on this days: LINK.

Maybe you know something more about this issue?

Well, then I can buy both tickets Budapest - Kiev and Lvov - Budapest already in Budapest, and only sleeper reservation Lvov - Budapest/Belgrade in Lvov, so it will probably be few euros cheaper. And also, I can save few euros if I buy Belgrade - Zahony return ticket, and then in Budapest buy Zahony - Kiev and Lvov - Zahony. That way I can get 60% discount between Budapest and Zahony instead of 50%. I hope conductors will not make some problems with that. I realise that that is legal.

I think that for Budapest - Krakow is written 78 euros because the cheapest one way SparNight ticket is 39 euros (6-berth couchette), so both ways is 2X = 78 euros.

Thank you, once again.  :)

As of now in connection MAV-UZ discount is the same for one way or return tickets, so you might as well purchase two separate tickets Budapest-Kiev and Lviv-Budapest.
Well, that's great news, just, the Budapest - Kiev ticket should be less than 45 euros. On MAV-Start website it's stated that return ticket Budapest - Kiev is 76,80 eur, so one way shuold be half of that, considering that now is same discount for one way and return tickets.

but remember - in advance you can purchase reservations only for UZ carriages, for RZD - only on the day of travel (basically only after "Tisza" leaves Moscow).
Just to make sure, this is only for Ukraine - Hungary, not for Hungary - Ukraine?

81
Is it possible to buy return ticket outward Budapest - Kiev, and return only Lvov - Budapest? How much would it be, arround 60 euros? And also, how much is the Budapest - Kiev sleeper cost?

And please write me prices for domestic Ukrainian trains Lvov - Kiev, Kiev - Simferopol, Kiev - Odessa, Simferopol - Odessa, Odessa - Lvov, and Simferopol - Lvov for 2/4 "kupe".

82
Thank you.  :)

No, return ticket Budapest-Moscow-Budapest via Chop costs 135 euro
Why is that? It's listed on your site that for return tickets between Hungary and Russia via Ukraine there is 50% discount for Hungarian and Ukrainian part, and 30% for Russian part. I counted with TCV tariff (should be same as East-West? or not?).

Considering all this, what do you think is the cheapest variant for traveling Belgrade - Budapest - Moscow, with stops in Lvov and Kiev? (considering also option via Slovakia (City Star) if cheaper)

83
I counted that return ticket Budapest - Moscow should cost 104,38 euros. Right?

Which trains between Moscow and Kiev are Ukrainian, and which are Russian? And how much is the price for reservation in kupe, for Ukrainian, and how much for Russian. Also how much is reservation cost for kupe Kiev - Lvov, and for 3-bed sleeper Budapest - Moscow, and Lvov - Belgrade (or Budapest)?

Train fares and tariffs / Re: Return ticket Košice - Gdansk
« on: June 09, 2010, 06:11:14 pm »
Thank you for your very quick response.  :)

Yes, the idea is to use overnight carriage between Bratislava - Warsaw, and in return Krakow - Budapest. Via Czech Republic is only 8 euros more expensive then via Skalite(Gr), but it is much more easier because train Zilina - Katowice - Krakow is rather slow. I'm still considering those two options.

I found some bad news on PKP website: the train 1380/1381 "Varsovia" Warsaw - Keszthely - Warsaw (via Plaveč) will not run this summer because of some railway bridge fracture on that route.

So I thought of different route: from Budapest to Bratislava return ticket 16 euros. And then buying a return ticket on this route:

outward:

Bratislava - Kuty (Gr)
Kuty(Gr)*breclav*(hodonin/brno)*prerov*bohumin*Zebrzydowice(Gr)
Zebrzydowice(Gr)*katow*idzik*warsz*dziald*Gdynia Gl.
Gdynia Gl.*Hel

return:

Hel*Gdynia Gl.
Gdynia Gl.*dziald*idzik*krakow*trzeb*oswiec*Zebrzydowice(Gr)
and through Czech Republic and Slovakia same route as outward

it should be 82,28 euros for that return ticket with discounts. It is stated on ZSSK website that border point between countries can be different on outward and return journey on Slovakia - Poland conections. But I was wondering can I get discount (60% on ZSSK and 40% on ČD and PKP part) considering that it is different route through Poland, and it is not direct but via Czech Republic? Is there possibility that man on ticket window in Bratislava can say that he can't sell me ticket like that or that he can sell me but without discount? And also I don't speak Slovakian, only English. Maybe it will be easier to buy that ticket in Wasteels office in Bratislava?

86
Anyway, to make sure, I have to ask you: Is discount between two countries (for example 60% ŽS-MAV) valid only for tickets between stations, or also between border points? For example, do I get 60% discount if I buy return ticket Beograd - Cana (GR), or I have to choose last station in Hungary before the border (Hidasnemeti) to get the 60% discount?

And one more question  ;D
How do you count TCV tariff ticket prices?  ;D
I need just one more ticket price quote: Same route, just extended - return ticket Košice - (Gdansk) - Hel?

Thank you!  :)

Well that is realy cheap considering that someone can travel Krakow - Warsaw - Poland return for only 22 euros with more comfortable ande faster EIC, adding now only 3 euros for reservation, for money even cheaper than TLK.
Compulsory reservations for EIC, EC and Express trains in Poland are now less:  http://www.intercity.pl/?page=ceny
For EIC and EC now are 12 zloty, and for Express only 3 zloty.

And one more question: If I for example use that ticket on train which goes from Krakow to Gdansk via Warsaw, and use that train on part Krakow - Warsaw, and on another day continue trip Warsaw - Gdansk, do I have to specify to train conductor that I will use that ticket just till Warsaw, and then continue to Gdansk on another train?

Train fares and tariffs / Return ticket Košice - Gdansk
« on: May 25, 2010, 11:14:30 pm »
Greetings!  :)

I red on ZSSK website that there for international return tickets Slovakia - Poland there is 60% discount on ZSSK, and 40% on PKP. A red also that Košice - Krakow return ticket costs 34 eur, and Košice - Warsaw 44 euros. So it's only 10 eur difference between Krakow and Warsaw which is a bargain. So I was wondering: How much the Košice - Gdansk return ticket costs?

And one more question. I plan to arrive to Košice by IC 536 at 21:51, and leave by 1380 at 23:29, and to buy ticket to Poland in time space between 21:56 and 23:29. Is the international ticket window at Košice station working at that time?

No, the price for Balkan Flexipass should be same for every Earth citizen. Overseas agencies sell it for much higher prices. But, if you buy it in Balkans it's the same price for everybody. Cashiers ask for passport like thay ask for Interrail, not for different price but for reason, that you cannot give your ticket to someone else.
