Title: czech fare for 2 adults + 2 kids (<5yrs)
Post by: expert123 on May 06, 2010, 12:42:21 pm
Hi all.
I would like to book a ticket from Bohumin to Praha, and I am not sure, if for EC/IC or SC Pendolino I should buy reservation seat additionally? Is that required or optional? and for kids that are <5yrs, I know they travel for free, but seat reservation is required? Can anyone help me? I did not find this info on cd.com

Thank you in advance, Expert

Within Czech Republic 2 passengers already entitled to a group discount of 25%, so if you purchase your Bohumin-Praha tickets online (cheaper, than buying it from the ticket counter), then you will pay only 652 CZK (+ 2*70 CZK for seat reservations) for two passengers (EC/IC/R or Ex) or 1040 CZK (SC, seat reservation already included). For domestic travels reservation is compulsory only for Pendolino SC trains, for EC/IC it is fully optional.
Children do not receive any discount for seat or sleeper reservation, so you will need to buy one, if you want to have additional seat.

p.s. in case you'll travel on weekend - consider SONE+ ticket instead of regular ones
