Train fares and tariffs / Poland EC reservation
« on: January 13, 2012, 01:41:35 pm »
I know that reservation isn't obligatory if passenger travels on international route with EC, and that it is obligatory if passenger travels on domestic route EC. But I'm not sure about traveling domestic route with international ticket. For example, passenger buys ticket Zilina - Warszawa via Skalite(Gr), and changes trains in Zwardon and Katowice. If passenger chooses to board EC train between Katowice and Warszawa, is the reservation obligatory for that EC train?

Travel plans, routes and timetables / Zvolen - Moscow
« on: April 12, 2011, 12:36:52 pm »
There is direct sleeping car 782 Zvolen os. st. - Moskva Kievskaia in the train 933. It runs as need may be. What does it mean? In which circumstances it does run or does not run?

Train fares and tariffs / Wasteels Bratislava
« on: April 11, 2011, 05:08:19 pm »
Hello tUt,

Do you have contact e-mail from Wasteels office in Bratislava?  I tried wasteels@zutom.sk, but it's not working.

Recently i found tariff tables for sleeping car reservations of BČ, RŽD and UZ. It is for the year 2010, but in 2011 prices remain same. Here it is:

BČ: http://dijszabas.uw.hu/dijszabas/download.php?fname=./Feheroroszorszag_BC/BC%20halokocsiarak.xls
RŽD: http://dijszabas.uw.hu/dijszabas/download.php?fname=./Oroszorszag_RZD/RZD%20h%E1l%F3kocsi%E1rak%202010.xls
UZ: http://dijszabas.uw.hu/dijszabas/download.php?fname=./Ukrajna_UZ/ukran%20halokocsiarak.xls

RŽD table shows international, interstate (exSSSR) and domestic prices, BČ and UZ show only international (BČ not complete). For UZ interstate and domestic prices you can see here: http://zakon1.rada.gov.ua/cgi-bin/laws/main.cgi?nreg=z0806-08 (Ukrainian language only, add 20% to showed price on ukrainan website due to a taxes).

Train fares and tariffs / Berlin/Gdynia - Kaliningrad
« on: January 30, 2011, 04:23:32 pm »
Between Gdynia and Kaliningrad there is train with direct car Berlin - Kaliningrad, running from late May till early October. I'm planning a tour of Poland, and now I'm considering adding Berlin and Kaliningrad to the tour. So I will buy return ticket Bratislava - Hel with outward route via <1156>Kuty(Gr)<1154>Brno*Ceska Trebova*Letohrad*Lichkov(Gr)<1251>Wroclaw*Poznan*Tczew*Gdynia Gl, and return route via <1251>Gdynia Gl.*Dzialdowo*Warszawa*Idzikowice*Krakow*Trzebinia*Oswiecim*Zebrzydowice(Gr)<1154>Bohumin*Prerov*(Hodonin/Brno)*Breclav*Kuty(Gr)<1156>. According to Jizdenka that ticket should cost 84 EUR.

So according to this I plan to go first to Wroclaw, and then to Poznan, from were I'll go to Berlin with 19 EUR discounted ticket. Then I plan to use Berlin - Kaliningrad sleeper. Since I already have ticket for Poznan - Tczew  part (ticket Bratislava - Hell) I'll need to buy Berlin - Poznan and Tczew - Kaliningrad tickets only and Berlin - Kaliningrad reservation. Then I plan to go from Kaliningrad to Gdansk, for which I will use Kaliningrad - Tczew ticket, and then from Tczew to Gdansk continue using my Bratislava - Hel ticket.

So I need information how much is the cost of:

1) Berlin - Poznan standard fare ticket (TCV) (is there youth, or RailPlus discount?)
2) Tczew - Kaliningrad return ticket
3) T3 reservation Berlin - Kaliningrad
4) T3 reservation Kaliningrad - Gdansk

Thank you!  :)

Train fares and tariffs / BerninaBahn
« on: November 01, 2010, 02:23:09 am »
It's stated on http://www.rhb.ch/Bernina-Express.33.0.html?&L=4#splash100 that return ticket Chur - Tirano costs 114 CHF (83 EUR), and also the same price is stated on SBB website. There is also an obligatory 9 CHF seat reservation for Bernina Express Chur - Tirano - Chur (it's not clear to me, is it for one-way, or for return trip?). So, my question is, can I use TCV ticket for this route, and for Bernina Express specificaly? It will be much cheaper, because according to jizdenka, TCV ticket with RailPlus discount should be 74,40 EUR for Zuerich HB - Tirano - Zuerich HB, or 51,30 EUR for Chur - Tirano - Chur.

Train fares and tariffs / Train Nice - Moscow
« on: October 18, 2010, 07:37:19 pm »
Is it possible to use this train within western Europe part only? For example, on route Nice Ville - Innsbruck or Nice Ville - Wien Meidling? If yes, how much is sleeper reservation on those two routes? I'm plannig to use this train on my Interrail trip next year.

Thank you for your answer!

I noticed that lot of Corail Lunea trains are not shown in SNCF timetable for this summer. And even more are not shown in HAFAS timetable. Is there some problem with timetable system, or there really not running this summer? Specificaly for train 4630 Hendaye - Nice Ville HAFAS timetable says it is running only on this days: LINK.

Maybe you know something more about this issue?

Train fares and tariffs / Return ticket Košice - Gdansk
« on: May 25, 2010, 11:14:30 pm »
Greetings!  :)

I red on ZSSK website that there for international return tickets Slovakia - Poland there is 60% discount on ZSSK, and 40% on PKP. A red also that Košice - Krakow return ticket costs 34 eur, and Košice - Warsaw 44 euros. So it's only 10 eur difference between Krakow and Warsaw which is a bargain. So I was wondering: How much the Košice - Gdansk return ticket costs?

And one more question. I plan to arrive to Košice by IC 536 at 21:51, and leave by 1380 at 23:29, and to buy ticket to Poland in time space between 21:56 and 23:29. Is the international ticket window at Košice station working at that time?

CityStar ticket is good solution for Transsiberian travel, but I was wondering is it possible to buy CityStar ticket from Slovakia to St. Petersburg via Ukraine and Moscow? If it is, how much will be the cost for sleeping car reservation Moscow - St. Petersburg or seat on daytime trains (new Sapsan high-speed train)?

Train fares and tariffs / Return ticket Budapest - Plavec - Lokoshasa
« on: April 10, 2010, 04:42:01 pm »
Hello,

I found an information that when buying Hungary - Slovakia return tickets there is 60% discount on Hungarian, an 55% discount on Slovakian. I also found out that the departure station needn't to be same. I want to ask how much is the cost of return ticket Budapest Keleti - Plavec (Gr) (via Kosice) and return Plavec (Gr) - Lokoshasa (Gr) (via Hatvan - Szolnok).

Thank you!  :)
