Osijek (Croatia) to Pecs - Price

I plan to travel on train number 258 12:59 from Osijek to Pecs. When I look at the train on Croatian Railways, it says that the distance is 487km and that "Transport prices are calculated according to the international tariff". Does anyne know how much this journey will cost me please?

International ticket Osijek-Pecs will cost be app. 7,5 EUR (though you'll need to pay in kuna, thus it will be around 56-57 HRK). That is the fare for return ticket, which however strange it might sound costs less (due to special Croatia-Hungary return discount) than one way ticket

That's is a mistake, Croatian Railways (HZ) website isn't the best with international connection. Actual distance is 82 km (32 km on Croatian side and 50 on Hungarian)

I have come accross the "cheaper return than single" before when I travelled from Budapest to Bratislava - thank you so much for telling me the same will apply on this journey.

Most likely ticket cashiers in Osijek will automatically issue return ticket even if you ask just "Osijek-Pecs". They know the nuance with return being cheaper and won't charge for more expensive (app. 2 extra euro) one way ticket
