Hi,

I've been looking around for a site that will actually give full timetable information, including which trains leave from which stations at what times, and what stops they make.  Basically, I don't exactly where I want to travel to/from - it depends what's available: if I know that the train, e.g., from Avignon to Strasbourg stops in Paris, then I'll include Paris as part of my travels.  So far I haven't really been able to determine that sort of information other than guess work.  Obviously would prefer in English but can probably figure it out if in French.
I'd also be interested in something similar for Italy.

Thanks

Dylan

Well, there are national railways websites for both France and Italy, but when we speak about rail travel in Europe usually the most convenient website is DB website, it perfectly shows all the schedules with station names for both Italy and France, plus it's user friendly, so you can try it first
But if you want to rely on official websites (or actually purchase tickets) - for French railways it's http://www.voyages-sncf.com, while for Italian - http://www.trenitalia.com

A small hint regarding search of different train stations in one city is simply to choose general city name (without particular station name which website will offer to choose), then it will automatically choose station most suitable for your journey. Plus in case you have any trouble, we are always ready to help, just give us journeys you intend to take and we will help with everything ;)

Great, thanks the DB Bahn site (which I had looked at before) does indeed have a "show intermediate stops" option, which is exactly what I wanted!
