Travel plans, routes and timetables / UK to Budapest

I would welcome recommendations for trains from UK to Budapest (and return) in July 2010 for 2 Seniors (60+). We have time to spare and are happy to stop-off en route. I will be in Budapest for 1-2 weeks.
