Hi There,

Thanks for the advice re train from Venice to Budapest.  The other half of our party is planning to travel from Venice to Munich by train.

I have heard that the best plan would be to travel from Venice to Verona where there will be more options in catching the train to Innsbruck.    Is this correct? 

I have heard the Verona to Innsbruck section of the journey is through the mountains and is very beautiful, so we would like to travel this section in daylight.  Is this possible?

 Could we travel from Venice to Verona and on to Innsbruck in one day? 

Is it worth spending a night in Innsbruck or should we travel through to Munich?

Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated

Hi There,

From the research I have done, it looks as if the best way to get from Venice (Italy) to Budapest is by the night train which goes via Vienna.   Can you tell me if I would need to change trains in Vienna or is it the same train?

I've looked for flight options, but there doesn't seem to be any direct flights and they all seem to take a long time.  If you know of a direct flight, could you advise please.

We will be travelling in May 2013.

Your advice will be appreciated.
