Discounts, special offers & ways to save money for passengers traveling by train in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ZFBH/ZRS):
- Passengers buying return tickets for trips within ZRS/ZFBH or between ZRS & ZFBH receive 20% discount from the standard ticket fare (e.g. Sarajevo to Mostar one-way ticket is 11 BAM, while return will cost 17,60 BAM or Sarajevo to Banja Luka for 32,90 BAM one-way or 52,50 BAM return)
- ZFBH & ZRS provides 30% ticket discount for students holding ISIC/ITIC cards
- Passengers planning trips to more than one destination in BiH (e.g. a day trip with couple stops) can take advantage of the fact that ZFBH & ZRS allow one stopover (with ZFBH only for tickets >100km) for any domestic trips done with one-way ticket or two stopovers with any return ticket (one stopover during outward & one during return trip). It means that passenger having ticket from destination A to destination C can travel with stopover in destination B, thus instead of two separate tickets purchase one through ticket and, as result, save some money due to regressive nature of ZRS/ZFBH domestic tariff.
